A colorful cicada

Our common cicadas in Sao Paulo are about 2 inches long, fat and chunky and seem to defy the laws of nature in order to fly. Their clumsiness is cute in a way
They’re all a greenish gray color, so I was surprised when I saw this fancy one, with all these drawings on its back, and even fancy shoulder pads. Stylish eh?

Ugh! I’ve seen an exploded one once (don’t ask), and it looked very juicy.
