		<description>A poisonous animal has poison in it. The poison may be yucky or harmful if you get it in or on you. But you have to touch or try to eat the poisonous animal to get the poison. Dart-poison frogs and monarch butterflies are examples of poisonous animals.

A venomous (VEN-uh-mus) animal has poison in it too. But a venomous animal can inject its poison into another animal through a bite or sting. Copperhead snakes and black widow spiders are examples of venomous animals.</description>
